Here we have some initial lizard designs, with this process we wanted to explore the various body types, frills and spikes that lizards can be found with.

Once we narrowed down the features of our protagonist, we went through one more iteration that explored broader body styles

Once we were satisfied, we ended up picking parts and pieces from the various lizards and applying them to our final lizard design which ended up taking on spikes, and a more rounded snout.

Next we took our love struck lizard through several color passes to find what felt right, and how would he appear against the forest background

I personally had a heavy part in the world building aspect of our film, each environment started off as a flat plane and was sculpted and loaded with various forest flora. To help guide the eye, I started with the largest element- the trees to block in the environment before laying out all sorts of grasses and flowers to compliment the scene.

Taylor is an award winning artist and experienced 3D Generalist with a history of working in virtual production, and the entertainment industry. She is skilled in Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Maya. She is an incredibly strong and quick minded professional with a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA focused in Animation, Interactive Technology, Modeling and Special Effects from Columbus College of Art & Design.
